Todd Grigsby

Enterprise Veteran to Mentor Oregon Consulting Group

Oregon Executive MBA alumnus Todd Grigsby, MBA ’00, has joined the University of Oregon as Professor of Practice and faculty director of the student-run Oregon Consulting Group (OCG) at the Lundquist College of Business.

Grigsby brings three decades of executive leadership in the enterprise software industry to the college, having worked with such market leaders as Workday, Oracle, and Hyperion Solutions. Most recently, he served at Workday as senior vice president of the company's global solution consulting and value management organizations.

Throughout his career, Grigsby has specialized in partnering with Global 2000 enterprises—including higher education and public-sector institutions—to modernize their finance and human resources infrastructure. In recent years, his work has focused heavily on using AI technologies to drive organizational efficiencies. Additionally, Grigsby has built and led global go-to-market teams, served as an executive sponsor for culture and diversity initiatives, and mentored emerging leaders.

Since his time in the Oregon Executive MBA program, Grigsby has remained closely connected to the college and university, serving as a recurring guest speaker in business classrooms.

As faculty director of OCG, Grigsby will guide and mentor student consulting teams as they solve complex business challenges and deliver professional-grade solutions to real-world organizations. Founded in 2014, OCG has spent more than a decade bridging classroom theory and practice through intensive experiential learning, delivering over 100 high-impact strategic research, market analysis, and advisory projects for clients ranging from regional nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies.

"Todd's enterprise background, global operational leadership, and deep familiarity with our programs make him a tremendous asset to our community," said Edward Maletis Dean Bruce Blonigen. "His real-world perspective on organizational transformation and AI will provide OCG consultants with unmatched, hands-on preparation for their careers."

Grigsby succeeds Peter and Molly Powell Associate Teaching Professor Scott Day, who concluded a four-year tenure as OCG faculty director. During his leadership, Day expanded OCG's client base, partnered with the college's Professional Edge program to launch the "Think Like a Consultant" workshop, and created the Consulting Essentials microcredential. Day continues on the Lundquist College faculty full-time, teaching courses in strategy, business law, and leadership.

"Scott built an exceptional foundation for the Oregon Consulting Group, expanding educational pathways and giving students the tools to think strategically from day one," Blonigen added. "We are deeply grateful for his dedication and leadership, and we look forward to seeing OCG continue to flourish under Todd's direction."
